New KSI Optical Table Ideal for Typical Lab Applications

BOSTON, MA — New vibration-damping Optical Tables from Kinetic Systems, Inc. (KSI) are ideal for typical laboratory applications. The 5100H Series is available in a wide variety of sizes and configurations, with widths to 6', lengths to 20', and thicknesses to 36".

Constructed to highly engineered standards using a proprietary epoxy formulation, the 5100H Series table offers a stiff, highly damped surface with high natural frequency (270 Hz), a core shear modulus of 225,000 psi, and an overall flatness of ±0.005". 5100H Series tables feature 3/16" ferromagnetic stainless steel top skin, 3/16" carbon steel bottom skin, and the proprietary steel honeycomb SPILLPRUF™ core design that seals entire rows of mounting holes, protecting the core from accidental spills and simplifying cleanup. The 5100H is Class 100 Cleanroom compatible. Class 10 is available as an option.

The 5100H Series Optical Tables exceed the performance levels of competitive models for both maximum dynamic deflection and maximum relative motion (IRDmax). Easily customized, legstands are available in two basic designs (modular rigid upgradeable supports or fully configured state-of-the-art systems) and five standard heights, with load capacities ranging from 500 to 2000 lbs. per leg. Table options include special shapes, cutouts, and notches as well as a choice of core and skin materials including aluminum, nonmagnetic stainless steel, and Invar. Accessories include laser ports, shelves, tabletop enclosures, retractable casters, and modular splices for joining tables in "L", "U", and "T" configurations.

KSI offers better performance and the most competitive list pricing in the industry for all grades of Optical Tables.
