Powered via FC/Universal 2.5 mm adaptor, Model 08231 is suited for installation, construction, and maintenance of fiber optic projects as well as telecommunication and CATV systems.

Rugged Optical Light Source with a Friendly Interface


Toronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) has launched its advanced optical light source working on dual wavelengths. It is suited for the installation, construction and maintenance of fiber optic projects, and telecommunication and CATV systems. This handheld optical light source offers a highly stable output power and adjustable frequency. It also has a compact, rugged design and a user-friendly interface making it an ideal solution for field use.

The portable optical light source, model 08231, provides a FP-LD emitter and is equipped with a large high resolution backlit LCD screen for clear display of test results. It offers 1310nm and 1550nm dual-wavelength outputs for single-mode fiber measurement or 850nm to 1300nm for multi-mode fiber measurement. The compact light source supports modulation frequencies including CW, 2Hz, 270Hz, 1kHz and 2kHz. It is powered via a FC/Universal 2.5mm adaptor; FC, SC and ST connectors are optional.
