HELSINKI, Finland-Comptel Corporation (OMX Helsinki: CTL1V), the leading vendor of dynamic Operations Support System (OSS) software, today announced the launch of Comptel Dynamic SIM Management(TM). The modular solution addresses two main areas: the just-in-time allocation of numbers and services; and the full lifecycle management of SIM cards-from order to deactivation. It allows communications service providers (CSPs) to improve efficiency and offer more personalized services at reduced costs.

Managing the lifecycle of SIM cards and associated numbers and services is a complex and costly process. Most notably, individual SIMs currently need to have numbers and services pre-allocated to them before they are distributed to resellers. This creates real inefficiencies, as CSPs have to pre-provision more cards than needed to ensure the success of their marketing campaigns. This then results in many SIMs never being used-creating costs without ever generating revenue.
