A line of oil mist eliminators for mechanical vacuum pumps that removes oil droplets from the exhaust stream to promote a safer and cleaner work environment is available from MV Products of No. Billerica, Massachusetts.
MV Midi-Mist Oil Mist Eliminators feature all-stainless steel construction and use replaceable microfiberglass coalescing filter elements to trap oil and particulates. Protecting workers and the environment, these oil mist filters come in 4" and 8" dia. sizes for mechanical vacuum pumps with inlet ports up to 2" dia. and have a drain plug for easily recovering pump oil.
Simple to disassemble and clean, MV Midi-Mist Oil Mist Eliminators provide 99.999% efficiency and are designed for pump speeds from 0 to 50 CFM which are exhausted to a room or roof. Since coalescing filters do not absorb oil, they only require changing if the pump exhaust stream contains particulate contamination. Otherwise, filters may only need changing annually.
MV Midi-Mist Oil Mist Eliminators are priced at $250. for the 4" dia. size which uses 1 filter element and $700. for the 8" dia. which uses 3 filter elements. Literature is available upon request.
