New Filtration Technology on Display at IMTS

Chicago, IL...TRANSOR Filter, recognized leader in filtration applications for carbide grinding, EDMing, honing and super finishing will display a new centralized version of its patented One Micron filtration system for oil. TRANSOR Filter can be found in Booth B-6765 at IMTS 2002.

This unit is ideal for multiple machine installations and can be configured to accommodate any number of machines. The TRANSOR System has been documented to improve the productivity in facilities machining with oil filtered to the ONE MICRON level. Typical results have included a 25% reduced cycle time in addition to a 2 to 3 time improvement in grinding wheel life.

The TRANSOR is a complete self-contained system with a compact design that holds, chills and delivers clean oil to the machine filtered to the one-micron level. Operation includes an automatic back-flushing procedure that removes the dirt from the elements resulting in convenient sludge removal and carbide reclamation. The self-cleaning filter elements have a life expectancy of 15,000+ hours.

Also being introduced is the "TRANSOR Helper". A new small portable unit, it is conveniently moved from machine to machine. Like TRANSOR's centralized or modular units, the TRANSOR Helper filters to One Micron but is designed to clean the oil overnight. Intended to introduce users to the benefits of crystal clean oil, the "Helper" is mounted on casters and easily interfaces with the machines reservoir.
