New SlimVent(TM) Obround Chimney Reduces Footprint
Bettendorf, Iowa (January 25, 2009) - Schebler Chimney Systems introduces the new, patent-pending SlimVent(TM) obround chimney that is designed to reduce footprint. Its straight sides and rounded ends make it ideal for tight fits and for conserving space, always a concern for environmentally-conscious builders.
A SlimVent chimney is 4" insulated with high temperature ceramic fiber insulation for reduced clearances to combustionables. The proven flanged inner band "V" joint connection creates a pressure tight, leak-free joint non welded joint.
The SlimVent(TM) is UL 1978 (listing pending), making it safe for grease duct applications. It is available with 304 or 316 stainless inner liner and a choice of 304, 316 stainless or aluminized outer shell. These materials ensure long life of the chimney, even in the harshest conditions.
