Tubular contacts connect stripped, unterminated solid or stranded wire. Four sizes are available accommodating wire range of 8â20 AWG, and voltages of 400 or 600 V. Rated to 105°C, units are suited for HVAC and security systems, industrial controls, testers, appliances, and telecom devices.

SYCAMORE, IL, MARCH 30, 2005 IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC., a leading supplier of wire connection products for professional electricians and OEMs, is now offering a 12-circuit nylon barrier strip with a unique modular design that enables it to be cut into smaller sections or stacked end-to-end to increase the number of circuits available to accommodate application requirements.
UL Listed and CSA certified, IDEAL barrier strips feature tubular contacts that connect stripped, unterminated solid or stranded wire easily and securely. Four barrier strip sizes are available accommodating a wire range of 8 to 20 AWG, and voltages of 400V or 600V. They are rated to 105 degrees C. Strips are housed in rugged nylon 66 (UL rated 94 V-2).
Designed to prevent accidental contact and short circuits, barrier strips are used in a wide range of general electrical work including HVAC and security systems, as well as installed in OEM equipment such as industrial controls, testers, appliances, and telecom devices.
Contacts and screws are deeply recessed to provide extra safety. The strip's integrated wire protectors are highly effective in stopping the occurrence of twisted or broken stranded wire.
