Cooper Notification Expands Exceder LED Series with Amber Lens Strobes

Advanced Patented LED Technology Reduces Material and System Costs

LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Cooper Notification, a division of diversified power management company Eaton, today announced the addition of amber lens strobes to its Wheelock Exceder LED Series, the industry’s first line of notification appliances to utilize high-efficiency light emitting diodes (LEDs) as the light source. The new colored lens is ideal for mass notification and emergency communications environments, and delivers the industry’s lowest current draw to allow for energy savings of 52 percent compared to competitive models.

Additionally, the Exceder LED amber lens strobes incorporate high-efficiency optics to minimize current draw, allowing for a greater number of appliances on the notification appliance circuit and requiring fewer power supplies to further reduce operating costs. The patented LED technology also offers one of the industry’s smallest physical footprints.

“Our new amber lens strobes incorporate a breakthrough optical design that underlines our commitment to providing customers with innovative life safety,” said Huyenchau Villas, product manager, Cooper Notification.  “Compact in size but powerful in performance, the Exceder LED line offers customers a sustainable solution for energy efficiency by delivering the highest ratio of light output to current draw.”

In addition to energy savings, installers will benefit from a wide range of features designed to reduce total cost of ownership. Those include four field-selectable candela settings (15, 30, 75, 110 cd), a single-gang design, four convenient mounting options and the ability to change settings without tools. Special lettering for the amber lens strobes, such as “ALERT” and “EMERGENCY,” is also available.
