NDT-RAM SOFTWARE UPGRADE SIMPLIFIES CRITERIA SET-UP AND VALIDATION FOR METAL COMPONENT PART INSPECTION
July 1, 2009, Cincinnati, OH - THE MODAL SHOP, INC. has released NDT-RAM Software version 6, a powerful new software tool that features helpful enhancements for acquiring, analyzing, viewing and organizing data resulting in significant improvement with criteria setup and validation for The Modal Shop's versatile resonant acoustic method (NDT-RAMTM ) systems.
Ease of use is critical to any software's effectiveness as a tool. NDT-RAM v6 continues to enhance ease of use for quality engineers. Most significant is the introduction of the AutoLearn feature that saves a significant amount of time in setting the testing criteria by automatically analyzing the data and establishing the optimal testing limits. The new software also eliminates the need to retest parts against new testing limits by adding the ability to analyze and recall data from within the program and view it as it was saved. Test data that previously took hours to analyze and experimentally verify, now takes minutes to do with the new analysis, organizational and data viewing capabilities of the software. Also saving time and increasing flexibility of testing is the ability of the program to now analyze multiple data sets and generate statistical reports on demand without having to retest parts.
The new software coupled with our industrial impact hammer, tested to well over 30 million cycles, and the NEMA 4 enclosed LanSharcTM digital signal processor make the NDT-RAM system perfectly suited for 100% inspection in the manufacturing environment.
NDT-RAM systems are ideal for manufacturers or users of powder metal parts, castings, or stampings that have substantial inspection cost, require 100% inspection, produce or use safety-critical parts, have substantial scrap costs due to false rejects, or simply want to improve their part quality.
