October 3, 2005 - Soft, conformable Medifix® 6042 consists of tan, 12 mil polyurethane embossed non-woven material, single-coated with medical-grade water-based acrylic adhesive. Gentle and moisture permeable, repositionable tape is formulated for use on highly sensitive and neonatal skin in applications such as dressings, wound care, and medical device attachment. It has passed skin irritation, cytoxicity, and sensitization product safety testing.

Windsor, Connecticut - September 26, 2005.... Scapa Medical has introduced Medifix(R) 6042, a soft and highly conformable medical grade polyurethane tape for direct skin applications including dressings, wound care, and medical device attachment. Gentle and moisture permeable, the product is formulated for use on highly sensitive and neonatal skin.

Medifix 6042 is repositionable and easily removed from both skin and hair. The tape consists of a tan, 12 mil polyurethane embossed non-woven material, single coated with a medical grade, water based acrylic adhesive.

The product is supplied with a 76# white polycoated kraft release liner, and has passed skin irritation, cytoxicity and sensitization product safety testing.
