April 22, 2005 - NEMA-rated Series NBB is available in indoor versions made from ABS/PC blended plastic with UL94-5VB flammability rating, and outdoor version made of PC/PBT blended plastic with UL94-VA flammability rating and UV stabilizer. Gasketed front doors feature non-metallic hinges and latches for corrosion resistance. Threaded brass inserts in selected internal and external mounting bosses allow for repeated fastening. Sizes range from 5.1 x 3.9 x 2.75 in. to 28.9 x 21.0 x 9.9 in.

Bud Announces New Sizes In Large Non-Metallic Enclosure Series
CLEVELAND – March 15, 2005 – Bud Industries Inc., the nation’s leading manufacturer of cabinets, racks, and enclosures, has announced the immediate availability of additional sizes in its new NBB Series of Large Non-Metallic Enclosures. The enclosures are lightweight and cost less than metallic enclosures, while retaining durability and strength for most applications. Indoor versions are made from ABS/PC blended plastic with an UL94-5VB flammability rating and outdoor versions are PC/PBT blended plastic with UL94-5VA flammability rating and a UV stabilizer.
Gasketed front doors for the enclosures feature non-metallic hinges and latches for maximum durability and corrosion resistance and are available in either solid gray or clear finish. Threaded brass inserts in selected internal and external mounting bosses increase holding strength and allow for repeated fastening.
The Large Non-Metallic Enclosures meet a number of industry standards including UL508 Type 1, 2, 4, 4X, 12, and 13; NEMA Type 1, 2, 4, 4x, 12 and 13; and IEC529-IP66. The sizes range from 5.1 in. (H) x 3.9 in. (W) x 2.75 in. (D) to 28.9 in (H) x 21.0 in (W) x 9.9 in (D).
Accessories for the new Large Non-Metallic Enclosure sizes include internal hinged panel mounting brackets, air and moisture vents, a stainless steel locking hasp, and galvanized steel inner panels.
