Stahlin Introduces Two New Non-Metallic Enclosure Sizes for its Popular J Series
Belding, MICHIGAN-Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures, manufacturer of the world's most frequently specified fiberglass enclosure products, has introduced two new sizes --- 8x8 and 12x12 --- for its popular J Series. For the first time users can also benefit from the open view of a polycarbonate cover.
The new J Series products provide additional options for reliable non-metallic enclosure protection. They are ideal for use as instrument housings or junction boxes. Stahlin's J Series has been delivering proven performance for nearly 50 years with more than 300 configurations and 13 sizes ranging from 6x4 to 20x16. The J Series ensures reliable durability including submersible ratings up to NEMA 6P, including 12,4 and 4x.
The two new square profiles provide even more versatility in appearance and functionality. Plus, the 8x8 and 12x12 are available in all configurations including a raised cover option for even greater depth of useable space.
All J Series products are molded from Stahlin's patent pending SolarGuard(tm) material formulation delivering the industry's best, independently proven protection from UV degradation.
• SolarGuard(tm) features new, proprietary double-protection formulation technology that significantly enhances the molecular bond strength and crosslinking that occurs during the curing process in thermosetting polyester sheet molding compounds (SMC).
• First Stahlin's SolarGuard(tm) system fights polymer degradation by making it much more difficult for UV light to attack molecular bonds of both primary chains and crosslinks.
• Second, a special UV Absorber is added to the SolarGuard(tm) formulation which acts to absorb UV energy, then to release it without damaging the polymer chain.
• The neo-pentyl glycol (NPG) isopthalic based resin system of SolarGuard(tm) ensures UL 94 5V fire retardancy, but provides a much stronger bond of the polymer chain resulting in significantly improved weathering resistance.
