SynTECH-LF features 12-hour stencil life and 12-16 hour tack time so PC board assemblers can change shifts or experience brief periods of downtime without the solder paste drying out or absorbing moisture. Other product benefits include superior stencil printing characteristics and ideal viscosity, grain size and particle sphericity (even at higher melting temperatures), resulting in higher quality solder joints at higher processing speeds with fewer solder balls or voids. SynTECH-LF also leaves a non-conductive, non-corrosive, post reflow residue that acts as a protective coating, and can easily be removed using Kyzen® or Petroform® solvent cleaners.
SynTECH-LF is ideal for in-circuit testing (ICT) of fine pitch solder joints, as the residue from this unique lead-free formula flows off-filet to the solder mask, making pin testing simpler and more accurate because the testing can be done directly on the solder joint. SynTECH-LF is also compatible with organic solderability preservatives (OSPs) without compromising SIR values.
