March 18, 2008 - Configured vertically or horizontally, AccuNip® Nip Stations with aluminum frames offer nip loads up to 2,000 lb, while cast iron and steel frame units produce up to 25,000 lb of nip load. Stations can be customized with doctor blades, dual-roll gear drives, heating or cooling rolls, and adjustable nip pressures and gaps. Light- and medium-duty models are suited for laminating, thermal bonding, web heating/cooling, and web pulling or squeezing.

New NIP Stations Offers Cost Savings


New AccuNip® nip stations with welded aluminum frames offer cost savings for laminating, thermal bonding, web heating/cooling, web pulling, or web squeezing operations.

(Orange, Mass.) - Custom-engineered AccuNip® nip stations are now available with welded aluminum frames, resulting in lower unit costs, shorter lead times, and improved maintenance options. Rugged light- and medium-duty models are ideal for laminating, thermal bonding, web heating/cooling, and web pulling and squeezing. New aluminum frame models offer nip loads up to 2,000 lb, while cast iron or steel frame AccuNip units produce up to 25,000 lb of nip load. AccuNip nip stations can be configured vertically or horizontally and customized with doctor blades, dual-roll gear drives, heating or cooling rolls, along with adjustable nip pressures and gaps. Other unique applications include profiling plastic lumber extrusions, squeezing liquids out of textiles, perforating materials such as leather, and squeezing resin into carbon fiber matting for aerospace applications.
