Fidelis Security Systems Releases Fidelis XPS(TM) Internal Sensor as Key Component of v5.0 Release

History of Industry "Firsts" Continues -- First and Only Network DLP Solution to See and Control Internal Traffic

BETHESDA, Md., April 1, 2008 / -- Fidelis Security Systems, the authority on extrusion prevention, today unveiled version 5.0 of the Fidelis Extrusion Prevention SystemŽ, Fidelis XPS(TM). The newest version of the enterprise-class network appliance introduces the Fidelis XPS Internal sensor, built on Fidelis XPS' proven, high-performance, gigabit-speed sensor technology. The only network data leakage prevention (DLP) solution able to see and control internal traffic, Fidelis XPS Internal extends the Fidelis Extrusion Preventions Systems' comprehensive control of external information flow to include visibility and control over information flowing within the organization, establishing "zones of control."

By introducing zones of control, Fidelis XPS Internal provides an organization with knowledge of and control over what information is being exchanged between departments, thereby leading to the discovery of inappropriate business practices as well as detection and, if desired, remediation of inappropriate use of information.

"The releases of Fidelis XPS v5.0 and the Fidelis XPS Internal sensor are major milestones in delivering on our overall vision for information flow. Our ability to establish internal zones of control for information flow with Fidelis XPS Internal shows the power of our platform and its position as the premier information gateway architecture," said Gene Savchuk, Co-Founder and CTO of Fidelis Security Systems. "We enable an enterprise to easily see and manage how its critical information is being used and distributed."

In addition to delivering the industry's first network data leakage protection for internal networks, the Fidelis XPS Internal sensor joins a long list of industry "firsts" for Fidelis Security Systems including the first all-channels, all-ports prevention solution; the first-and only-gigabit-speed DLP solution; and the first DLP product in evaluation for Common Criteria certification.

With Fidelis XPS Direct sensors at the perimeter and Fidelis XPS Internal sensors placed around the network, organizations can see and track the movement of sensitive information by identifying the sources and destinations of transfers. Fidelis XPS Internal supports real-time policy enforcement and content analysis covering database access, internal file transfers, and directory queries. Fidelis XPS Internal sensors can be deployed in one or more locations inside the network, depending on the information flow management goals and requirements of the organization, including:

o Data warehouse -- to monitor database queries and internal traffic flow
to and from potentially sensitive data stores with the ability to view
and record what data is leaving, who is requesting/removing the data,
and where it is going.

o Internal zones of control -- inspect and control traffic as it flows
inside the network, between different divisions of the organization to
highlight potentially malicious activity, as well as inefficient or
flawed business practices that may put sensitive data at risk.

o On the LAN -- to monitor all content as it flows inside the network and
determine the areas of risk to quickly identify sources of sensitive
information without the need for crawlers.

Fidelis Security Systems will be demonstrating the latest version of Fidelis XPS during the RSA Conference on April 8, 2008, at 4:00 pm with business partner IBM in booth #1125.
