Smoothstone Announces New Network Security Suite
LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 24 -- Smoothstone is pleased to announce the availability of network security solutions as part of its expanded product portfolio. The announcement was made at the Smoothstone Client/Business Partner Summit held recently at the company's corporate headquarters.
The network security suite, SmoothstoneSECURE, is designed to provide complete threat protection of valuable company data. SmoothstoneSECURE contains:

-- Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDS/IPS)

Traditionally, these solutions have been available separately from multiple vendors and often required complex and tedious configuration and management. Smoothstone has woven proven network security technologies from Cisco, Barracuda Networks, and Fortinet into a comprehensive Unified Threat Management (UTM) solution. Rather than having multiple network security devices to manage, SECURE provides a single web interface to simplify configuration and ongoing management of a client's entire network security infrastructure.
This enterprise-class solution is delivered at a low out-of-pocket cost to the client. Smoothstone charges for SECURE on a subscription basis, thereby eliminating the purchase of costly hardware. At the time of the announcement, over a dozen Smoothstone clients had already rolled out SmoothstoneSECURE to their enterprises.
At the event, Smoothstone also announced new features of its Call Center product, Intelligent Call Control (ICC). These new additions help clients better manage and control their call flow and reporting. Smoothstone also presented new instant messaging and other unified communication features.
