Intended for SOHO and SMB applications, FWA7404 is based on 1.2 GHz VIA Nano(TM) X2 Dual Core CPU with up to 800 MHz FSB and integrates 4 GigE ports with one segment of bypass function. Interface options include 2 USB ports, CF card socket, 2.5 in. SATA HDD bay, and Mini PCIe socket. For local system maintenance and diagnostics, one serial console port is provided. Fanless solution also comes with VIA PadLock(TM) hardware security engine, 64-bit OS support, and 2 GB max DDR3 SO-DIMM memory.

IBASE Releases VIA Nano(TM) X2-Based FWA7404 Network Appliance
Taipei, Taiwan - IBASE Technology (TASDAQ: 8050), a leading network appliance manufacturer releases a new desktop Network Security Appliance based on the VIA Nano(TM) X2 Dual Core 1.2GHz processor that delivers power-efficient processing in a fanless compact platform. The RoHS-compliant FWA7404 offers cost-effective performance for the SOHO (Small Office, Home Office) and SMB (Small Medium Business) market segment.
FWA7404 is integrated with four Gigabit Ethernet ports with one segment of bypass function, enhancing reliability required in security applications. It supports I/O interface and expansion features including two USB ports, CF card socket, 2.5" SATA HDD drive bay and Mini PCI-e socket. For local system maintenance and diagnostics, one serial console port is provided.
FWA7404 comes with the VIA PadLock(TM) hardware security engine, which features a comprehensive suite of tools for key cryptographic operations.
