Advanced Poly-Packaging Adds US-5500 to Product Line

A New Solution for Kit Packaging

(Akron, OH) March 27, 2008 - Advanced Poly-Packaging, Inc. announced the addition of the US-5500 Net-Weigh/Counting Scale to its unparalleled product line.

The machine takes kit packaging to a new level by integrating partitions and lights to a traditional counting table for increased accuracy. Specially designed for kit packaging, the US-5500 uses cutting-edge technology for weigh-count verification of up to six numbered components (up to 10,000 pcs per part number) all packaged in one bag.

"Sometimes fast changeover is more important than automation," said Advanced Poly-Packaging Vice President of Sales Stuart Baker. "It creates the perfect combination for packagers who want automation, but need certain flexibilities."

The US-5500 features a system of lights (one for each partition) to signal operators when to load each component into the scale hopper.

o Green LED lights indicate which part to load
o LED switches from bin to bin as piece quantity is met
o Completed kits feed automatically into a poly bag that gets sealed

The scale is perfectly integrated to the T-1000 Advanced Poly-Bagger(TM) and offers a barcode reader for instant job recalls, saves or queries. Job recipes can also be created or modified using Microsoft Excel.
