Compliant with requirements of UL508, Narrow Profile WN8 series of power supplies can be used on input of 90-265 Vac or 110-350 Vdc. Equipped with power factor correction and output inhibit capability, applying between 3-25 Vdc to inhibit terminal will disable output. Rated for operation over 0-71°C, 100 kHz switchers have line and load regulation of ±0.05%. Other features include remote sensing capability and overload, over-voltage, short-circuit, and thermal protection.

Narrow Profile Power Supplies Meet UL508, Operate on AC or DC
Easton, PA - February 27, 2008 - Acopian's Narrow Profile WN8 series of power supplies, with outputs from 3.3 to 48 Vdc and from 120 to 288 watts, have been recognized for compliance with the requirements of UL508. They can be used on an input of 90-265 Vac or 110-350 Vdc.
All models have power factor correction and output inhibit capability - applying between +3 and +25 VDC to the Inhibit terminal will disable the output. The supplies are rated for operation over a temperature range of 0 to +71°C.
Other features include remote sensing capability (compensates up to 0.5-volt drop per output), and overload, over-voltage, short-circuit, and thermal protection.
Measuring as small as 1.7 x 3.5 x7 inches (largest is 1.7 x 3.5 x 9.8 inches), these 100 kHz switchers, which include an input filter, have line and load regulation of ± 0.05 percent. Output voltage may be alternately controlled with an external potentiometer. The output is floating and may be used in either polarity.
