New NAMUR Solenoid from BI-TORQ® Valve Automation

Press release date: May 21, 2014

BI-TORQ® Valve Automation has added a new NAMUR mount solenoid to its automation accessory line.

The pilot operated spool valve designed QC series solenoids are 3/2 or 5/2 field selectable for double acting or spring return pneumatic actuators. The solenoids offer a high flow 1.4 cV, rapid response time (up to 4 cycles/sec), and are rated for 100% continuous duty. A push-button manual override is a standard feature.

The QC solenoid body is anodized aluminum with Buna-N seals. Solenoid coils are offered in common voltages of 12VDC, 24VDC, 120VAC, 220VAC, and 24VAC. NEMA 4 coil protection is standard with NEMA 7 an option. Connection options include strain relief or a DIN connector.

BI-TORQ® Valve Automation, now in its 20th year, started with a single line of pneumatic rack and pinion actuators. The company has grown tremendously since then and now offers a full line of automated ball and butterfly valve packages, actuators and valves for retrofits, and a suite of safety products including fire safe fusible link assemblies, spring return handles, and fusible plugs. BI-TORQ® Valve Automation’s parent company, AVK Carbo-Bond, is a family-owned business specializing in valve mounting kits, stem extensions, lock-out kits, and customized solutions such as butterfly valve tee linkages and tandem mounting kits.
