November 9, 2001 - ProMUX Multiplexers are available in 3 models: ProMUX-3, with 3 inputs and 1 RS232 output; ProMUX-4 and -8 with either 4 or 8 inputs and 1 RS232 or RS422 output; and ProMUX-RF with 1 input and 2-way wireless transmission to receiver with RS232 output. ProMUX-3 and ProMUX-RF are ideal for multiplexing and sending SPC data to PC. ProMUX-4 and ProMUX-8 can be cascaded to provide up to 128 channels of input for large scale data collection.

Accurate Technology Introduces ProMUX
Accurate Technology has introduced a line of multiplexers for their digital measuring systems. The new multiplexers are available in three models: ProMUX-3, with three inputs and one
RS232 output; ProMUX-4 and -8 with either four or eight inputs and one RS232 or RS422 output; and ProMUX-RF with one input and a 2 way wireless transmission to a receiver with RS232 output.
The new systems will support all of the company's ProScale(TM) measuring products as well as the complete line of SPC enabled products.
The ProMUX-3 and ProMUX-RF will work with or without the standard Pro Scale digital readouts. ProMUX-3 is powered by a plug-in 110/220VAC power supply, and internal rechargeable batteries power ProMUX-RF. They are both ideal for multiplexing and sending SPC data to a PC.
ProMUX-4 and ProMUX-8 each eliminate the need for the digital readout and accept the ProScale encoder output or Mitutoyo SPC signal directly. These systems are powered by a user supplied 10-24 VDC. The -4 and -8 models can be cascaded to provide up to 128 channels of input for large scale data collection or multiple inputs to a PLC or controller.
