Epson PowerLite 1925W Expands Presentation Options with Enhanced Network and Computer Integration

Epson Previews New 4,000 Lumens WXGA Projector with More Comprehensive LAN Capabilities at InfoComm 2009

ORLANDO, Fla., June 17 /-- InfoComm, Booth 4127 -- Epson, the number-one selling projector brand worldwide(1), today introduced its new PowerLite 1925W WXGA multimedia projector at InfoComm 2009. Optimized for mid-sized classrooms and conference rooms, the PowerLite 1925W is a high-bright projector that is designed for easy installation and integration with existing wired or wireless networks.

The PowerLite 1925W offers a robust feature-set including powered zoom and focus, which can be operated via remote control, Epson's proprietary technology for Plug 'n Play projection that allows users to project presentations from a PC using a standard USB cable, Quick Connect for easy wireless setup and projection from a PC, and PC-free presentation capabilities via USB memory devices. In an Epson first, the projector features wireless video plus audio transfer, so users can now send both audio and video wirelessly to the projector from their computers.

"This high brightness PowerLite projector more than meets the needs of higher education institutions and corporations by combining low cost of ownership, ease of use, long lamp life, and affordability designed for mid-sized venues," said Heather Gareis, senior product manager, Epson Projection, Epson America. "In addition, by combining high resolution with advanced network performance and connectivity, the PowerLite 1925W allows users to expand the content of their lessons and presentations beyond what educators and business professionals have traditionally had available."

With 4,000 lumens of color light output, 4,000 lumens white light output (ISO 21118 standard)(2) and WXGA resolution, the PowerLite 1925W delivers vibrant high-resolution, widescreen images even when ambient light conditions are not optimal. The projector's Screen Fit function can easily resize projected images on a screen or automatically square an image when no screen is available. The projector features Epson's latest 3-chip 3LCD optical engine as well as an auto iris to achieve a 2000:1 contrast ratio, delivering images with amazing color and crisp detail. The PowerLite 1925W is also equipped with an HDMI input to facilitate a wide range of digital and high-definition video signals.

The projector has enhanced network capabilities via Epson's exclusive EasyMP software, which allows the PowerLite 1925W to be remotely scheduled for automatic powering on and shutting off. The software also allows the projector to be used as a broadcast system to show event flyers, updates and emergency instructions. In addition, display responsiveness from the network is up to 20 percent faster than Epson projectors with previous networking technology.

Epson also offers the Brighter Futures(R) program, a unique sales and support initiative that is available specifically for schools. Designed to help educators select and implement the best products for their classrooms while making the most of their budgets, Brighter Futures offers special pricing, extended Epson limited warranty coverage for three years, dedicated education account managers, and toll-free technical support for all Epson projectors.

Availability and Support

The Epson PowerLite 1925W projector will be available in the fall of 2009 through national resellers, pro audio/visual dealers, mail order, and distribution. Epson's PowerLite projectors come with a two-year limited warranty that includes two elite technical support services - two-year Epson PrivateLine(R) phone support to directly access an expedited support telephone line by using a phone card that is included with the product, and a two-year Road Service projector replacement program that includes projector exchange in one business day.
