Mencom Makes Quick Connection with ILME Connectors

Gainesville, Ga. - Mencom Corporation's ILME line of heavy-duty, rectangular, multi-pole connectors is one of the broadest available in the industry today. Built for rugged, industrial strength and watertight requirements, Mencom's ILME line offers standard and custom configurations for various environments and applications.

Inserts can be configured for different applications according to the voltage rate (from 250V to 690V), the current rate (from 10A to 80A max), the number of poles (from 2 to 216 contacts) and the different load combinations required (power and signal poles within the same insert). Pneumatic contacts allow combination electrical and pneumatic applications within one connector, and high temperature 180deg C connectors are also available for extreme conditions.

This line features shock-resistant, die cast aluminum alloy housings coated with epoxy-polyester powder or self-extinguishing thermoplastic (UL, 94 VO). Single or double locking devices made of stainless steel levers, springs and pins provide added protection against mechanical stress and accidental openings. Gasketed housings protect the connectors from dust and water or other liquids.

Connector inserts are made of self-extinguishing thermoplastic resin (UL 94 VO). They are available with screw, crimp or spring connection terminals. Standard contacts within the inserts are silver or gold plated brass, but iron and Constantan are also available for thermocouple connections. Contacts are numbered on both sides of the inserts for added convenience and safety.
