Multi-Point, High-Density Metering System is WiFi capable.

Press Release Summary:

Accommodating up to 24 measurement points for metering in space-limited applications, MP200 provides choice of common communication architectures – serial RS485 using Modbus protocol, wired Ethernet port, or 802.11 Wi-Fi – for relaying data. System secures data using WEP, WPA, or WPA2 encryption when using WiFi. Also, onboard memory allows for data logging and load profiling of energy consumed over time for each circuit, while software enables creation of reports and sub-metering bills.

Electro Industries/GaugeTech Releases WiFi Capable Multi-Point, High Density Metering System, MP200

WESTBURY, N.Y. -- Electro Industries/GaugeTech (EIG) announces the release of the MP200, a WiFi communicating multi-point, high density metering system. Designed to accommodate up to 24 measurement points, this unit is ideal for highly accurate, high density metering such as commercial buildings, shopping malls, industrial power panels or any other applications for metering installations in which space is a premium.

This unit uniquely provides the user with a choice of common communication architectures to communicate data. These architectures include serial RS485 using Modbus protocol, a wired Ethernet port or 802.11 WiFi for radio-based communication. When using WiFi, the MP200 metering system secures the data using WEP, WPA or WPA2 encryption.

The metering system is also available with extensive on-board memory for data-logging and load profiling of energy consumed over time for each circuit. There is enough memory to record many years' worth of energy usage for download and analysis. Using software, a customer can create energy reports and sub-metering energy usage bills.

The MP200 metering system is a product that allows users to immediately monitor and reduce energy consumption system-wide by fairly allocating costs and responsibility to energy users. This saves money, reduces carbon-footprint and is an integral part of a total environmental impact program.
