Heavy-Duty Multi-Pin 600V Connectors are Versatile, Reliable

Appleton Expands Plug & Receptacle Family with New M-Line Multi-Pin Connectors

ROSEMONT, IL -- Appleton, the number one brand in industrial electrical products, today unveiled its new M-Line(TM) Multi-Pin Connectors for heavy-duty and hazardous locations up to 600 Vac/Vdc.

"Our new M-Line connectors allow customers to go far beyond four poles and in excess of 1,000 amps," said Eric Goldberg, Director of Hazardous Products Marketing. "With the addition of the M-Line to our PowerTite® plug and receptacle family, Appleton now brings to market the widest range of connection solutions for the industrial marketplace."

Designed to safely connect and disconnect power, control and instrumentation equipment, M-Line connectors help industrial facilities achieve increased operational flexibility and productivity. When used as back-up power connections, the connectors minimize downtime by allowing employees to quickly switch to generator power in the event of a main power failure. When employed in a pilot-plant or small batch process, they enable faster configuration of equipment while eliminating the time and expense of hard-wiring. If mounted in portable equipment, the connectors give the flexibility to deploy equipment when and where it's needed.

Adding value wherever they're installed, Appleton M-Line connectors are available in two versions. The MEP Series is purpose-engineered for hazardous ATEX/IECEx locations while the MN Series brings M-Line advantages to heavy-duty but non-hazardous environments. Both models share plug-and-play simplicity to minimize installation and maintenance costs while providing IP68 environmental protection.

Standard and custom configurations -- combining a wide range of conductor numbers and sizes, contact materials, and termination options -- mean there is an M-Line connector to suit almost any application requirement. Choice is also available in cable support/retention methods, as well as shell materials (anodized aluminum, brass or stainless steel).

Check the Apple App Store in the coming weeks for the M-Line App which allows access to Appleton's online configuration tool. This will allow customers to quickly determine the exact M-Line connector they need.
