Multi-Channel Raman Analyzer offers open chemometrics platform.

Press Release Summary:

Full spectrum Raman analyzers of RPM Series, utilizing multiplexing technology, can interface up to 12 probes. While RPM 785 process analyzer is configured to operate in hazardous area environments, RPM MD general-purpose Raman analyzer is configured for laboratory or control room rackmount applications. SpectraRTS packaging system allows series to be utilized as open chemometrics platform; integration with SpectraQuant chemometric software and third party software platforms is supported.

Original Press Release:

Applied Instrument Technologies Introduces New Multi-Channel Raman Analyzer

UPLAND, Calif. -- Applied Instrument Technologies, Inc. (AIT), a leading manufacturer of multi-component process analyzers has announced the introduction of its new RPM Series multi-channel Raman analyzer.

The RPM Series are full spectrum Raman analyzers that come in several versions. The RPM 785 is a process analyzer configured to operate in hazardous area environments. The RPM MD is the companion to the RPM 785 analyzer. It is a general purpose Raman analyzer configured for laboratory or control room rackmount applications. Both versions are capable of interfacing up to twelve probes utilizing AIT's multiplexing technology. They are built in calibration standards to provide a new level of robustness and stability for process Raman technology.

"Raman is an analytical technique that continues to gain acceptance in process monitoring applications," said Joe LaConte, President of AIT. "AIT brings a strong pedigree of engineering, innovation, product development and support capabilities to our RPM Series that we believe will improve the track record of process Raman."

The RPM Series shares a common packaging system, SpectraRTS, with AIT's other spectroscopy products including Analect FTIR and FT-NIR as well as the PIONIR dispersive NIR. The use of SpectraRTS allows AIT to leverage our proven Modbus, I/O, OPC and PLC interfaces for the Raman systems. With SpectraRTS, the RPM Series utilizes an open chemometrics platform. Besides AIT's SpectraQuant chemometric software, many other third party software platforms can be seamlessly integrated.

"The RPM Series is unique in that it allows the ability to interface up to twelve probes to a single analyzer," said Robert Hegger, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for AIT. "And the ability to provide both in-situ and extractive probes provides the customer added sampling flexibility."

Applied Instrument Technologies, Inc., with an installed base of over 2200 systems worldwide, is expert in manufacturing rugged and reliable process analyzers. Products include Analect(TM) FTIR/FT-NIR, FXi(TM) Gas Chromatographs, MGA(TM) Mass Spectrometers, PIONIR® dispersive near infrared and RPM(TM) Raman analyzers. AIT has earned recognition for providing high quality products with low maintenance costs.
