QuickPick® Position Indicator (QPi) indicates order picking information for Remstar horizontal carousels directly in front of exact storage tote or container. QPi moves vertically, positions itself above or below shelf level, and indicates correct container by flashing arrows. It shows the operator tote position, as well as the required transaction quantity, resulting in more efficient and accurate order picking.

New Remstar Quickpick Position Indicator Improves Order Picking Efficiency in Industrial Equipment Operations
The new QuickPick® Position Indicator (QPi) moving light strip (patent pending) from Remstar offers improved order picking speed, accuracy, storage density and reduced operator training in industrial equipment automated storage and retrieval applications.
The QPi indicates order picking information for Remstar horizontal carousels directly in front of the exact storage tote or container, rather than at the side. The QPi moves vertically and positions itself above or below the shelf level and indicates the correct container by flashing arrows. It shows the operator the tote position, as well as the required transaction quantity, resulting in more efficient and accurate order picking.
Because the QPi mounts on the front of the horizontal carousel, it allows closer shelf spacing than is possible with traditional side-mounted light towers, eliminating potential errors due to long spans. The QPi moves to the correct shelf height with positioning accuracy of 1/10 inch in the vertical axis.
The QPi precisely indicates up to 26 positions along the face of the shelf, allowing the use of narrower totes for improved product storage density while improving picking accuracy. Likewise, totes and containers can now be divided into more cells increasing higher storage device density without sacrificing any accuracy. The intuitive operation of the Remstar QPi reduces operator training while assuring order accuracy and picking speeds.
