It mounts permanently on process equipment and features yoke and pin assembly that enables tension release without any unscrewing or dismounting. Latest Mounting Clamp To Help OEMs Boost Access To Machinery Internals

Washington, NJ: A new quick release clamp design from process equipment manufacturer The Witte Co., Washington, New Jersey (www.witte.com) that mounts permanently on process equipment features a proprietary yoke and pin assembly that permits easy tension release with a quick move of one hand without requiring unscrewing, dismounting or other cumbersome release method. When returned to the closed position, the retractable clamp design automatically restores the amount of tension applied prior to its release.

Devised for design engineers, product managers and other design professionals, the new Witte clamp design is ideal for joining steel and aluminum process equipment covers and ports with up to 750 lbs. of clamping force yet also may be used to join plastic, wood and other materials. With a simple adjustment, the clamp design accommodates materials in different thicknesses. The quick release clamp design is available in cast aluminum, in FDA-approved stainless steel for sanitary installations or as a forging for heavier duty requirements.
