Suited for limited-space applications, MDrive14Plus products integrate NEMA size 14 brushless 1.8° stepping motor with electronics. Units are 2 in. high x 1.4 in. wide, with lengths of 2 in. for single motor or 3 in. for triple motor, which provides holding torque at 36 oz-in. Capable of full 256 x 200 microstepping with 12-48 Vdc integrated driver, MDrive14Plus systems feature extended operating range of -40 to +85°C and oversized input capacitors to minimize power line surges.

New NEMA 14 triple stack motor doubles the torque while adding only 1" to overall length
MARLBOROUGH, CT - January 27, 2009 - The MDriveŽ product line, with its proven leading integrated motor and drive technology, doubles the performance of its smallest and lowest cost all-in-one motion control products with the addition of a NEMA size 14 triple stack motor option for its MDrive14Plus products.
MDrive14Plus products integrate a NEMA size 14 brushless 1.8° stepping motor with electronics for an ultra-compact motion control solution ideal for a wide range of applications with limited space. Measuring a mere 2" high x 1.4" wide, lengths are 2" for a single motor or 3" for a triple motor which also provides twice the motor holding torque at 36 oz-in.
The MDrive14Plus is capable of full (256 x 200) microstepping with a +12 to +48 VDC integrated driver. Unsurpassed smoothness and performance is achieved by applying innovative techniques to control current flow through the motor so resonance is significantly dampened over the entire speed range and audible noise reduced. Oversized input capacitors minimize power line surges, reducing problems that can occur with long cable runs and multiple drive systems. And an extended operating range of -40° to +85°C provides long life, trouble free service in demanding environments.
The MDrive14Plus is available with a number of options to allow customization of standard products to meet specific application requirements.
