Industrial Indexing Systems Announces Custom Motion Control Systems for OEMs

VICTOR, NY - Industrial Indexing Systems, a world leader in servo motion control systems for industrial and OEM applications, has just introduced a concept called the Intelligent Servo Drive (ISD). This package of building blocks allows IIS to design custom motion control systems for OEMs and other large volume users.

The ISD concept is built around a series of hardware and software modules that can be readily integrated into a customized, low cost motion control system that is optimized for a particular application. One of the major strengths of this unique approach is that it does not depend on a standard board layout or packaging configuration. The OEM gets to specify the form and function of the ISD system, thereby producing a very cost effective, yet proprietary system.

Building blocks available include a servo driver with brushless motors up to 750 Watts, variable frequency drives up to 1 Hp, logic and I/O power supplies, 24 VDC isolated I/O, analog I/O, an 8051 microprocessor core with flash memory, high speed RS-232 and RS-485 serial busses for communications, velocity, position and torque control and operator display and keypad functions.
