PCI Multi-Axis Motion Card Offers High Density Connectors

Torrance, CA - Varedan Technologies continues to expand its line of OEM motion control products with the introduction of the PCI-XP motion controller for stepper and servo applications.

The PCI-XP motion controller is a full length PCI card available in 4 or 8 axis configurations. This high performance motion card features optically isolated I/O for each axis, including encoder feedback, limits and home sensor inputs. Dual 12-bit D/A's for each channel provide analog outputs for either servo control or general-purpose use. Eight optically isolated general-purpose I/O pins can be configured by the user's application.

Through the use of high-density VHDCI connectors, the PCI-XP enables all connections to be made to the card without the need for running wires and cables inside the PC chassis. Four high-density connectors provide 2 axes of connections each. Breakout boards are available to provide connections to each signal, or pre-made cables can be purchased from a number of third party vendors.

The included software library routines enable the user to quickly build their motion application code using C/C++. Windows drivers are included for Plug and Play installation on any PC platform. Example programming applications are included and can be used to get the card up and running in a few minutes.

Varedan Technologies designs and manufactures custom and standard motion control products such as servo amplifiers and motion controllers for OEM applications. Visit us on the web at www.varedan.com or contact us at sales@varedan.com.
