March 13, 2007 - Designed with polycarbonate housing, Stopper® Station Model SS-2204 offers interchangeable or replaceable NO or NC, SPST gold-plated contact blocks rated for 3 A at 600 Vac or 1 A at 250 Vdc. Standard switch includes one NO and one NC contact and holds up to 3 sets of isolated contacts. Featuring design that helps stop accidental activation, ADA compliant push button is available with or without protective cover to combat vandalism and accidental damage.

STI Now Offers an ADA Compliant Momentary Mushroom Push Button


STI announces the continuing rapid expansion of its line of standard and custom push buttons with the Stopper® Station Momentary Mushroom Button (SS-2204). Station housing is molded of super tough polycarbonate and is backed by a lifetime guarantee against breakage in normal use and one year on electronics.

The Stopper Station has interchangeable or replaceable N.O. or N.C., SPST gold-plated contact blocks rated for 3 amps @ 600 VAC or 1 amp @ 250 VDC. Standard switch includes one N.O. and one N.C. contact and holds up to three sets of isolated contacts. The button housing is yellow with a choice of symbol and wording in virtually any language. Button housing is also available in red, blue, green and white.

As with all STI Stopper Stations, the SS-2204 momentary mushroom model incorporates a patented design that helps dramatically stop accidental activation. It's available with or without a choice of STI protective covers to combat vandalism and accidental damage as well as a pre-alarm to help stop malicious activation. The button is UL/cUL Listed and ADA Compliant. Button is UL Approved for weather applications when mounted outdoors with a UL Listed weather cover.
