Agie Presents Affordable Automation at IMTS 2002



Davidson, NC - Visit booth #D4000 in the EDM Pavilion at IMTS 2002 to see Agie's latest offering for affordable automation. Agie will demonstrate a mold production cell consisting of its gantry style, American-made Agietron Advance CNC die sinker, a Mikron VCP600 vertical machining center and a System 3R Workmaster robot.

The compact Advance can handle up to a 4,000 lb. table load and features large axis travels to accommodate a variety of die/mold applications. The unique PC based Windows 98® control utilizes icon driven menus for simplified programming. The new Advanced Power Generator (APG) assures fast machining and polished finishes without having to use messy additives or powders.

The Mikron VCP600 high-performance vertical machining center will demonstrate the production of intricate electrodes and die/mold components. The Advance and Mikron will be integrated using a System 3R Workmaster robot and Macro pallets to provide reliable continuous throughput. The System 3R Workmaster will automatically load and unload electrode and workpiece pallets using its 300-degree swivel range. Automated production is carried out safely and efficiently with maximum flexibility, making it possible to produce more work over nights, weekends and holidays.
