Aqualene 4346 can function as an alternative to use of LDPE in packaging structures because of its high barrier properties to penetration. Economical, the product typically requires lay down weights of only one dry pound per 1,000 sq. ft. down to one dry pound per ream (3,000 sq. ft.) It is also fast drying in normal heated gas dryers.
