M2 FiberSplit(TM) Micro Modules feature 2U packages allowing 20 single width passive optical modules to fit into 19 in. rack. At 5.1 x 0.7 in. and 2U high, modules are available in 1 x 2 through 1 x 8 splitters as well as in CWDM and DWDM configurations. They are also available in combinations operating in 1,310 nm, S, C, and L bands. Applications include telecom, Passive Optical Networks (PON), LAN, CATV, and data distribution centers.

Optical Couplers Save Rack Space, Add Flexibility
A new line of optical couplers, splitters, and WDM products packaged in compact 2U modules that require 55% less space than standard LGX modules is being introduced by M2 Optics, Inc. of Holly Springs, North Carolina.
M2 FiberSplit(TM) Micro Modules are functionally equivalent to LGX optical couplers, splitters and WDMs, but feature 2U packages to allow 20 modules to fit into a 19" rack. Requiring 55% less rack space per module, these micro modules (0.75"W x 5.1"L x 2U high) come in a wide range of coupling and connector configurations with various connector interfaces.
Permitting 20 single width passive optical modules in a rack where LGX technology could only fit 12, M2 FiberSplit(TM) Micro Modules come in 1x2
thru 1x8 splitters as well as CWDM and DWDM configurations and combinations operating in the 1310 nm, S,C and L bands. Applications include telecom, Passive Optical Networks (PON), LAN, CATV, and data distribution centers.
M2 FiberSplit(TM) Micro Modules are priced from $181.00 to $450.00 each, depending upon configuration. Literature and complete performance speci-fications are provided upon request. Custom configurations are available.
