August 31, 2007 - Available assembled or kit form, Easy Guard provides standard and custom guarding solutions for any in-plant application. Pre-assembled panels and doors utilize OSHA-approved 1.5 x 1.5 in. aluminum extrusions along with PVC-coated wire mesh or polycarbonate inserts. From basic guarding panels to complete swing, scissor, sliding, or lift doors and windows, each module includes all necessary hardware and comes in variety of heights and widths.

Mk® Automation Offers New "Easy Guard" Modular Guarding Systems


Bloomfield, CT August 20, 2007 .mk Automation, Inc. offers the new Easy Guard modular guarding system designed to provide economical standard and custom guarding solutions for virtually any in-plant application. The pre-assembled Easy Guard panels and doors utilize OSHA approved 1.5" x 1.5" aluminum extrusions-the same quality aluminum extrusions and components used in mk Automation conveyors and machine frames-along with with PVC -coated wire mesh or polycarbonate inserts. The Easy Guard system ranges from basic guarding panels to complete swing, scissor, sliding or lift doors and windows. Each module includes all the necessary hardware and can be ordered using a single part number, with no CAD drawings required. Standard panel and standard door heights available: 48", 60", 72" and 84"; widths: 12", 24", 36 and 48". Standard hinged door widths: 30", 36" and 48"; sliding door widths: 72" (36" opening) and 96" (48" opening). Doors include hinges, ball latch, doorstop and handle. Doors with heights over 60" are furnished with a center horizontal cross beam for added rigidity. Easy Guard is available in assembled or kit form, with short lead times to meet customer requirements. The guarding systems allow users to streamline machine production areas for greater safety and overall plant operational efficiency.
