OK International's New MRS-1000 Modular Rework System Set to Boost Productivity
OK International has launched its new MRS-1000 Modular Rework System. A convection rework system for the removal and placement of BGA/CSP and SMT components, the Modular Rework System integrates state-of-the-art assembly technologies to widen application possibilities and enhance productivity going forward.
By integrating advanced rework technologies, the MRS-1000 is an extremely versatile system. It is comprised of a handheld convection tool with a wide array of nozzles, preheater, adjustable tool holder with board holder, and light magnifier. Capable of handling PCBs up to 12" x 12" or above using the stand-alone BH-1000 Board Holder, the manually-assisted rework system is equipped to process components up to 40mm x 40mm, making it a flexible choice for the removal of delicate SMT components and other processes requiring increased control. With standard features including programmability, a digital display, program storage of up to 50 profiles and adjustability; the system is extremely versatile for enhanced productivity.
The modular system features the new HCT-1000 Programmable Hand Held Convection Tool, equipped to remove and place SMT components. Featuring digital controls, internal or external thermocouple feedback control, profile storage and integrated vacuum pick-up for component placement and removal, the HCT-1000 is a versatile convection tool. The hand-piece features vacuum and reflow buttons allowing the process to be operated manually or automatically, while the vacuum option incorporates automatic component lift off to enhance process control even further. The HN Series Nozzles fit applications reworking sophisticated components of all sizes including BGAs, QFPs, LGAs, PLCC and SOIC.
The MRS-1000 also features the PCT-1000 Programmable Preheater which enables users to increase heat capacity with highly controlled thermal output. Delivering more heat to difficult boards, the Preheater maintains very high levels of thermal control without compromise while fast temperature ramp up enables faster production rates. The PCT-1000 is equipped with the highly advanced heater design found on sophisticated OK International rework systems. It's convection heater creates a vortex effect that efficiently directs and concentrates heat.
Also included with the MRS-1000, the ATH-1000 Adjustable Tool Holder features a board holder, locking hand-piece retainer, Z axis stop and mounting configurations to extend the system's inherent flexibility and convenience. Completing the latest offering from OK International, the LM-1000 Light Magnifier features a 4 x magnification lens and integrated LED lighting for shadow-free illumination.
