Hahn Automation Announces New Modular Cell for Robot Applications
Hebron, KY - 02/13/2007 Process automation specialist Hahn Automation (http://hahnautomation.com), and Staubli Robotics (http://www.staublirobotics.com), manufacturers of innovative and technologically advanced industrial, painting and cleanroom robots, announce a joint collaboration with a fully automated modular cell, MasterCell.
This modular system is an economical and intelligent concept which allows for a broad spectrum of use and configuration. The MasterCell configured with a Staubli TX90 robot, is a fully automated production system and can be loaded by the robot when connected to a part transfer system. The TX90 robot is ideally suited for working within this small enclosure with its compact design, high speed and precise motions. In addition, the robot offers a high degree of flexibility by being able to perform multiple tasks which can reduce part handling time and the need for additional stations. At the brains of the cell is the Staubli CS8C control system which is a PC based control platform with a soft PLC built in function allowing for a central common control of the robot and single or multiple MasterCell stations.
The modular design and expandability of the MasterCell enables manufacturing companies to grow with part volume without significant cost or time for expansion thereby allowing them to increase their competitiveness and ensure growth by maximizing throughput.
"Staubli Robotics has always focused its strategy and efforts on the highly diverse challenges of robotic automation to develop the most comprehensive and advanced robots to meet every unique challenge. This new collaboration represents the ongoing commitment of Staubli Robotics to provide competitive robotic solutions to our customers no matter what the application," says Mr. Gerald Vogt, Division Manager at Staubli Robotics.
Today, Staubli offers the widest range of 4 and 6 axis robots from 1kg to 230kg payloads, and from 450mm to 3200mm reach, all controlled from a common PC based controller platform.
