October 10, 2005 - With DIRECTCONNECT(TM) technology, Smart Linear Actuator Modular Automation System enables integration of pneumatic slides, grippers, and rotaries. It includes weld field immune electronics, on-line web configurator, and Smart Motor technology consisting of integrated motor and drive. Programmable servo slides are available in 3 different models with stroke lengths from 100-1,400 mm and maximum stroke speeds from 1-1,100 mm/s.

Robohand's Smart Linear Actuator Modular Automation System Offers Easy Fit, Function and Durability


Madison Heights, Michigan, September 27, 2005 - Robohand (Monroe, Conn.), a DE-STA-CO Company, announces its Smart Linear Actuator (SLA) Modular Automation System, a completely integrated flexible automation solution that will improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.

The precision engineered SLA Modular Automation System features DIRECTCONNECT(TM) technology, allowing for easy integration of Robohand pneumatic slides, grippers and rotaries. Further, the economical and fully integrated turnkey automation solution can be configured for any application specification.

Other outstanding SLA features include:
o Fully integrated servo/pneumatic motion control;
o Simple programming, simple software;
o Weld field immune electronics;
o On-line web configurator;
o Smart Motor technology - Integrated motor and drive; and
o Networking capabilities.

The SLA Servo Slide series is available in three different models (SLA-90, SLA-120 and SLA-150), with stroke lengths ranging from 100 mm to 1400 mm, and maximum stroke speeds ranging from 1 mm/s to 1100 mm/s. This series of programmable servo slides is one of the first in the industry to use Smart Motor technology.
