FARO Launches New X Series Laser Scanner: The Focus 3D X 130

LAKE MARY, Fla. -- FARO Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: FARO), the world's most trusted source for 3D measurement, imaging and realization technology, announced the release of the new FARO Laser Scanner Focus(3D) X 130.

The Focus(3D) X 130, the newest member of Focus(3D) X Series range of laser scanners, delivers tremendous power, compact design, and the flexibility to perform laser scanning in both indoor and outdoor environments. With a scanning range of 130 meters, this laser scanner is ideal for mid-range scanning applications such as architecture, construction, civil engineering, facility management, forensics, historical preservation, industrial manufacturing, and shipbuilding applications.

The ultra-portable Focus(3D) X 130 enables fast, straightforward, and accurate measurements of objects and buildings. Combining the highest-precision scanning technology with true mobility and ease-of-use, this new device offers reliability, flexibility, and real-time views of recorded data. With its integrated GPS receiver, the laser scanner is able to correlate individual scans in post-processing. These advances in performance do not come at the expense of safety as the Focus(3D) X 130 comes with a class 1 "eye safe" laser.
