Mobile HMI / SCADA Capability Added to Software Product Suite

Mobile smartphones and tablets-such as an iPhone, iPad, Android, and more-may access HMI / SCADA client screens created with Ignition by Inductive Automation via the Ignition Mobile Module. The Mobile Module allows unlimited users, unlimited screens, and unlimited data usage on mobile devices per server license.

Custom human machine interface (HMI) or supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) screens can be designed for use on mobile phones and tablets to complement users' existing method of process control. Making SCADA system information available literally anywhere empowers manufacturers to keep an eye on critical data at all times. Operators and managers can respond in real time to control system alerts, check on system status, make notations, etc.

The Ignition Mobile Module is the latest software product added to the Ignition suite of modules. Ignition is a software platform with a variety of HMI / SCADA and manufacturing execution systems (MES) modules that can be mixed and matched depending on the needs of industrial automation companies. The system is very flexible in creating custom HMI, SCADA and MES applications in industries such as food, beverage, oil, gas, packaging, pharmaceutical, and water / waste water.
