PARIS, FRANCE (MAY 26, 2009) - Today LaCie announced three new lines of mobile and desktop hard drive bags - LaCie Cover, LaCie Coat and LaCie Cozy, all designed by Sam Hecht. LaCie improves hard drive and data safety by introducing a range bags, made with different materials, for varying levels of protection.
Perfect for lightweight protection and mobility, the LaCie Cover provides a soft, thin, and comfortable second skin for your hard drive. By covering the surface area of the hard drive, users can count on LaCie Cover to keep their hard drive scratch-free. Its lightweight design and inside accessory pocket mean that users can conveniently carry their hard drive and cables wherever they go.
Designed for versatility, the LaCie Coat offers a chic padded bubble pattern, adding sophisticated style and protection for mobile and desktop hard drives. The innovative design allows users to reverse the Coat, revealing the inner sueded fabric, for two bags in one. Users can customize at their leisure by simply turning the bag inside out, while getting the same level of hard drive protection. A hidden pocket allows users to keep their cables and accessories close for convenience.
Alternately, for users who desire robust hard drive protection, the LaCie Cozy offers a sturdy outer layer for the ultimate hard drive protection. Made of EVA, LaCie Cozy has a rigid exterior to withstand everyday bumps and bruises of the outside world. While the LaCie Cozy has a tough exterior, its flexible outside pocket is perfect for carrying bulky peripherals, supplies, and accessories. The inside of the Cozy shows a softer side, lined with memory foam to protect hard drives from shocks and jolts.
