CSC Launches New Location Awareness Solution at the 2008 Amgen Tour of California

Innovative Tracking Technology Intended for Business and Governments Will Receive a High Speed Test at the Premier California Professional Cycling Race

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Feb. 12 -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE:CSC) announced today that it will launch its new global Location Object Field Tracking (LOFT) solution at the 2008 Amgen Tour of California professional cycling race. CSC's LOFT solution will give fans a unique "bird's eye view" of the race by tracking all of the riders and teams online throughout the duration of the eight-day, 650-mile race. Designed to help organizations to visualize people, vehicles and infrastructure anywhere on Earth to better protect and account for mobile assets, LOFT will be demonstrated in a real-world test during the Tour of California, Feb. 17-24.

CSC's LOFT is the only tracking solution that provides a contextual, user-friendly view of objects tracked from three sources -- overall perspective, current data reports and historical background. During the Tour of California, online cycling fans can choose to follow any of the riders and the 17 participating teams with a click of the mouse. Fans can see direction and speed details by simply clicking on one of the moving avatars. They can also click on any rider's name to pull up their picture, bio or anything else the team Web site has to offer. The online tracking solution can be accessed at http://www.csc.com/omnilocation in English, French, Spanish and German, and is available using both Google Maps and Google Earth. In addition, Yahoo! Maps geographic information system will display rider locations through Adobe Presentation media on the official Amgen Tour of California Web site at http://www.amgentourofcalifornia.com/.

"CSC's unique LOFT solution makes the unknown, known," said Dan Munyan, chief technologist for CSC's Global Security Solutions Identity Labs. "In addition to providing precise location details, LOFT offers contextual information -- such as current data reports and historical details about a location or person -- to allow for more informed decisions. The Amgen Tour of California not only provides an ideal opportunity for CSC to showcase our new technology to customers, but also provides cycling fans with a new way to engage and watch this exciting bike race."

LOFT acquires position through the public global positioning infrastructure and communicates through a number of different public infrastructure methods. Depending on specific situation needs and the availability of communication means, LOFT uses a variety of standard methods, such as cellular (GPRS), Satellite, WiFi, and WiMax. LOFT uses Web 2.0 methods for analysis and presentation. It is affordable, flexible and easily upgradeable.

CSC is the official information technology (IT) partner and a "founding partner" of the 2008 Amgen Tour of California, and is a primary sponsor of Team CSC, the number one pro-cycling team in the world.
