Stacked vertically and horizontally, TurboCap(TM) Series is available in X7R dielectric with voltage range of 50-100 V and capacitance value of 100 µF. Switch mode power supply capacitors are suited for DC/DC converters, hybrid vehicles, and military/COTS Plus power supplies, as well as medical electronics equipment, industrial equipment, telecom and alternate energy applications. Lead frame technology places ceramic tip up off board to minimize cracking issues.

GREENVILLE, S.C. - AVX Corporation, a leading manufacturer of advanced passive components and interconnect solutions, has expanded on its switch mode power supply (SMPS) capacitors series, TurboCap(TM), to include miniature versions.
The miniature TurboCap Series features a unique double-stacked construction -
vertically and horizontally stacked capacitors - to provide high CV values, low ESR
values, high current carrying capacity and excellent high frequency performance. The
rugged devices are also mechanically robust.
"Utilizing state-of-the-art BME technology, the TurboCap Series stacked
capacitors enable designers to reduce their component count, shrink board space and
maintain the benefits of ceramics such as low ESR/ESL, ability to withstand transients
and the ability to handle large amounts of power in an efficient and compact package,"

The miniature TurboCap Series capacitors are available in an X7R dielectric and
feature a voltage range of 50V to 100V with a capacitance value of 100uf. The stacked
capacitors are ideal for DC/DC converters, hybrid vehicles, military/COTS Plus power
supplies, medical electronics equipment, industrial equipment, telecom and alternate
energy applications.
The expanded TurboCap Series capacitors are assembled using AVX's industry
proven lead frame technology, which places the ceramic up off the board and
dramatically reduces cracking issues as well as susceptibility to shock and vibrations.
Delivery is 8-12 weeks.
