Miniature Right Angle Gearboxes come in worm, helical types.

Right-angle worm gearboxes RW3 and RW4 offer 1.41 Nm output torque and ratios from 5:1-20:1, while RW5 right-angle helical gearboxes offer 0.7-1.41 Nm torque and ratios from 1:1-4:1. Both types have breakaway torques of 0.085 Nm, anodised aluminium casings, oil impregnated bronze bearings, and 303 stainless steel output shafts. Input worm shaft on RW3 is 416 hardened stainless steel and input gear on RW5 is hardened stainless steel. With 3,000 rpm max input speed, max backlash is 2º.

Ondrives Miniature Right Angle Gearboxes
Ondrives Ltd have introduced a range of new miniature gearboxes into their extensive range of gear reducer units, launched February 2011.
These mini units are available in two types - RW3 & RW4 are right angle worm gearboxes with an output torque of 1.41Nm and ratios from 5:1 to 20:1 and RW5 are right angle helical gearboxes ranging from 0.7 - 1.41Nm torque range with ratios of between 1:1 to 4:1. Both have breakaway torques of 0.085Nm.
Casings are anodised aluminium, they have oil impregnated bronze bearings, 303 stainless steel output shafts (with single output shafts available on request), input worm shaft on the RW3 is 416 hardened stainless steel and on the RW5, the input gear is hardened stainless steel. Worm and output gears are hardened steel and the maximum backlash figures given on both types is 2º with a maximum input speed of 3000 rpm.
