Greenray's YH1518 Series OCXO Offers Excellent Phase Noise in Miniature Package

By combining precision crystal technology with a low noise oscillator and multiplier, Greenray Industries has developed a family of miniature Ovenized crystal oscillators that provides excellent noise performance up through 250MHz.

The low noise characteristic of these OCXO's is facilitated by using a precision SC cut crystal. These crystals provide a High Q to reduce the noise close to the carrier yet withstand the high drive levels necessary for a low noise floor. The oscillator circuit then drives a low noise frequency multiplier to increase the frequency up to as high as 250MHz. A thermally enhanced internal assembly allows the circuit to be housed in a relatively small 1.06 x 1.42 x 0.5" hermetic package while still maintaining excellent frequency stability.

Operating from a supply voltage of +12Vdc, the typical temperature stability is ±0.07ppm over -40° to +70°C. A Sinewave output of +3dBm minimum (+6dBm typical) is provided.

The model YH1518 can be ordered at any frequency between 110MHz and 250MHz. This unit is well suited for applications such as frequency translation, LO sources and clocking of high speed data converters and gate arrays.

Greenray Industries is a leading supplier of high precision quartz based oscillators for use in wireless, aerospace, military, instrumentation and communications applications.
