October 25, 2002 - Model SC0424L (magnetic latching) and Model SC0424N (non-latching) open-frame, pull-type solenoids provide 250,000+ actuations from one set of 4 AA battery cells (6 Vdc). Both models have dimensions of .42 x .46 x .95 in. (W x H x L). Standard with flat face plunger, solenoid insulation is rated Class A (105°C), and operating temperatures range from -20 to +40°C. Maximum force is rated 34.8 oz at .02 in. stroke (10% duty cycle).

New Miniature PCB Mounting Solenoids Designed for Low Power Battery Operation
Bicron's SC0424L (Magnetic Latching) and SC0424N (Non-latching) DC solenoids are open-frame, pull-type solenoids primarily designed for use in battery operated portable equipment and small line powered devices such as gaming machines, circuit breakers, centrifuges, scanners, coin counters, optical equipment, and point-of-sale systems. Optimized design and improved manufacturing processes have enabled the solenoid's efficiency to be increased to make more than 250,000 actuations possible from a single set of four AA battery cells (6Vdc).
Dimensions for both the SC0424L and SC0424N are .42"W x .46"H x .95"L (11mm x 12mm x 24mm). A flat face plunger is standard, with other options readily available. Solenoid insulation is rated Class "A" (105°C). Operating temperatures are -20°C to 40°C. Maximum force is 34.8oz. @ .02 inch stroke (10% duty cycle). Solenoid coils are available for operation with 3, 6, 12, or 24 VDC.
