September 30, 2008 - Designed for video-intensive and sound-rich applications, Model LV-66A Mini-ITX format embedded motherboard can also be used as Network Access Server, POS engine, or in ATM application. Based on VIA C7 1.5 GHz fanless processor with up to 4 Gb of 667 MHz front-side bus SDRAM and powered from standard 20-pin ATX PSU, it offers storage, multimedia, and connectivity options, including Serial ATA with RAID support, UltraDMA IDE, 8 USB 2.0, 2 Giga LAN, and 2 COM ports.

Mini-ITX SBC Optimised for Digital Media Applications

The new LV-66A Mini-ITX format embedded motherboard from BVM is designed for applications in the rapidly emerging new generation of smart digital entertainment devices such as set top boxes, gaming machine, kiosks and media centres. In addition to its suitability for video-intensive and sound-rich applications, it can also be used as a Network Access Server, a POS engine or in an ATM application.

The CPU is the VIA C7 1.5 GHz fanless processor, with up to 4 GB of 667 MHz front-side bus SDRAM. A dedicated CRT interface is onboard on all versions, DVI and LVDS onboard interfaces are optionally provided. The LV-66A offers a comprehensive range of storage, multimedia and connectivity options, including Serial ATA with RAID support, UltraDMA IDE, 8 x USB 2.0, 2 x Giga LAN and 2 x COM ports. The board also supports HD Audio, with an optional Compactflash socket in the solder side for optional Solid State Disk use.

In addition, the motherboard has a RS232/422/485 serial port, a printer port, a configurable 8-bit GPIO interface and an IrDA infrared data interface. A 256 level reset watchdog timer is provided and the unit is powered from a standard 20-pin ATX PSU.
