Power-Saving Mini-ITX Motherboard with Optimized Performance and Rich I/O
Advantech, the embedded platform and service provider today announced the release a new industrial grade Mini-ITX motherboard. AIMB-258 features the mobile GM45 chipset and the Mobile IntelŽ Core(TM)2 Duo CPU that meets high performance and power efficient needs. AIMB-258 features rich connectivity with up to eight USB 2.0 and six COM ports integrated into the standard 170 x 170 mm Mini-ITXform factor. The motherboard supports dual display output for LVDS, CRT and DVI. AIMB-258 Mini-ITX motherboard is designed for small, quiet applications in long-term use ranging from self-service kiosks to medical and factory automation.
Energy-efficient Performance and Maximum Connectivity
The GM45-ICH9M chipset combination supports Intel Core2 Duo mobile processors with FSB running at 800/1066 MHz and features excellent energy-efficiency with enhanced processing capability and power optimization. AIMB-258 comes with an array of I/O connectivity such as PCIe x16, six COM ports, eight USB, CompactFlash and 16-bit GPIO for easy system integration. A dual 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet port is also available to deliver high speed networking. All of this connectivity is packedinto a space-saving, power-efficient Mini-ITX form factor.
Snappy Graphics
The integrated, high performance GM45 Express chipset, featuring the Intel X4500 Graphics Media Accelerator, provides a cost-effective solution with enhanced full HD graphics and 3D rendering. Intel Clear Video Technology enables a rich experience, with high-definition playback featuring sharp images, smooth edges, and vibrant colors. 24-bit LVDS and dual display support are built in, along with audio in- and outputs.
OS, Embedded Software API and Utility
Windows XP, Windows XP embedded, Windows Vista, and Linux are all supported. Watchdog timer/GPIO/Hardware monitor/SM Bus utilities are included in SUSI Software API, and BIOS flash and monitoring software utilities are also available for installation.
