Portwell Announces WADE-8078 Mini-ITX Form Factor Embedded System Board Powered by the Intel Atom Processor E3800 Product Family

The WADE-8078, based on the Intel® Atom™ processor E3800 product family (formerly codenamed Bay Trail), provides high performance and flexibility for functional expansion, and is ideal for Kiosk, Digital signage, Medical, Defense and Industrial automation and control applications.
The Intel Atom processor E3800 product family continues to push innovation with an architecture designed to deliver quality, performance and industry-leading I/O technologies on platforms powered by the single-core, dual-core and quad-core Intel Atom processors. It features great performance per watt and high reliability through error correcting code (ECC). Portwell has taken advantage of such technology to furnish a series of products that meets multiple industrial requirements for cost effectiveness, reliable performance and a high level of data integrity and uptime.
WADE-8078 is the first Portwell off-the-shelf Mini-ITX embedded board product based on the Intel Atom processor E3800 product family in a SoC package with memory and PCI Express controller integrated to support one-channel DDR3L memory and PCI Express 2.0 lanes, providing enhanced graphics performance. Other features include two USB 2.0 ports and one USB 3.0 port; VGA with maximum display resolution support for 2560 by 1600 pixels/HDMI; one Gigabit Ethernet; one SATA 3Gb/s storage specification; and Portwell’s specially designed CFEX function. Portwell’s new WADE-8078 is truly designed to deliver smart security and cost-saving manageability for easy integration into today’s intelligent embedded systems.
